I just crushed several carpenter ants in the kitchen (it's the time of year when they come exploring), and they leaked concentrated bright blue ink/dye! It cleaned up like food coloring does. I've never seen anything like it. Are they eating something blue? Has anyone seen this with #ants before?

@wcbdata I'm totally stumped. Never seen anything like this. Is there anything sweet and blue they might have been eating?Do you have any images of the ants... alive ideally?

@wcbdata i think I've seen insects bleed every color when squashed (in the wild included ), they just do that i guess
