Yep, their ancestors sold the other's ancestors as slaves. And those slaves were actually very productive when compared to the majority of their offspring. The cultural divides are very high too, even the poorest 20% of americans are above the average for other 1st world countries. That kind of class divide would likely lead to enslavement or death pretty quickly.

Nah it makes sense to me, tribalism can easily be a liability to any group. Less education (I'd personally go with intelligence, as education is meaningless outside of a specific field) will likely lead to poor decisions compounding etc.

Neither is inherent, they are optional. Back to what I've actually said though, tribalism is not inherently good or bad. It's very situational, sometimes quantity can help with a problem and other times having weak links compromises the entire chain. If I was in prison or an active race war, racial identity all the way. Defending degenerate liabilities solely because of something as petty as genetics not character on the other hand.. Not great results there generally, both internally and externally to your tribe.
