It doesn't run poorly, you just need to check your Windows graphics options menu and make sure Windows is actually utilizing your graphics card instead of trying to make it run off something it wasn't meant to run off of.

It does run poorly sometimes, it's extremely CPU hungry and the CPU resource usage affects how quickly you load into maps, still a great game, I have been playing it for years
