       @ricci dns doesn’t work when bgp or mtu breaks things so you can still point at it for not working. AutoMTU often works as do defaults these days though I’ve seen it set wrong statically. BGP is scary and hopefully is used sparingly. When bgp fails, static routes can be built. I know Cisco has a lot of alternative protocols that are technically better like OSPF.True root causes are always a surprise, but “it’s always dns”.
