       do engineers in other fields (not compeng / IT) experience the same belittlement, ridicule, and overall misunderstanding from the general population that we do? or is it just us that experience this disparate gap from the rest of society?my main problem is that we're expected to behave robotically and deal with it, while at the same time being told we don't do any "real work", by the same exact people who probably use our own platforms to write this shit against us! ignorance at its fucking finest

       i attempted to touch on this with my last blog post before my site went down. i did a horrible job wording my concerns because the problem was new to me at the time, but now i have a better idea on how i could rewrite it. i still need to know whether this phenomenon is exclusive to people who work IT and try to incorporate it with their other interests, without completely abandoning the field altogether. usually that's how the story goes: tech burnout, find a menial way to make a living instead. this is why i've had to journey solo to find my answers.

       i think if the average person could peek into my head and see exactly how i managed to justify all the confusion and bullshit this profession caused me, how i managed to maintain my sanity all the while, they would give me a great more deal of respect than they do now. like, most of this hasn't been due to mental issues, i'm just really fucking stubborn and want my computer to work so i can play my games and talk to idiots online.

       i'm only surprised by the fact that i'm one of the few who talks about this kind of stuff though, considering how many neurodivergent people there are in tech. idk if i broke the camel's back, or other people don't have the energy to consider it, or i'm not coming across their writings

       in any case i'm definitely overdue to focus on better things in my life, because it's been so long dealing with this type of bullshit on a daily basis. i don't want to leave everything behind, i only want to reprioritise so i can have fun in life
