       One really good thing about elections in Australia that many Aussies may not appreciate, is the ability to vote at pretty much any booth, even outside your own state or territory. In many countries, you can vote at only one booth. My one attempt to vote in a local election when I lived in London was thwarted because I went to 'the wrong polling booth', despite my 'correct booth' being in the same suburb. It was late on a Thursday and cold and wet so I just gave up and went homeI had no trouble voting in the Australian election in London though, of course #AusVotes
