There're some popular ideas that look fine at first, but in reality will literally poison your life. And they're often being spread by "experts-in-everything" bloggers without no good criticism.1. "Instead of spending money for all this stuff you should be more smart, save money and use them for something better". People spreading this will make you feel guilty for "wasting" your money at the unimportant stuff.2. "You shouldn't waste your free time, you should spend every free minute to improve yourself. Read the science book, not fiction, it won't make you smarter. If you are on vacation, don't waste your time and learn something new. Travelling somewhere? Watch a video that will make you smarter." People spreading this, will make sure you'll feel guilty for wasting your time and not improving yourself.The problem with these ideas is that THEY ARE BULLSHIT, THEY DO NOT WORK!Technically, saving money and improving yourself is a good thing. The problem is that you shouldn't take it as absolutely as those people say.HUMAN IS NOT A ROBOT! It's a complicated biological organism with lots of it's needs. While you can cut all your "unimportant" spendings, and you can use all your free time for learning, it won't work on a long run. Humans need to get some positive motivation with bounties. Humans need regular relaxation. If you don't relax and use your resources for tourself, you'll burn out, procrastinate and get into a depression.Just check these "effective bloggers" always learning something new after a few Years. They'll 99% talk about how did they burn out of their work.My life was also poisoned by these ideas. Now I feel guilty almost every time I spend money for myself. While I understand that it's wrong I still can't get out of it.And I periodically see people feeling guilty for not learning something new. STOP!Alsobplease check if your high productivity thepries actually accept that humans have more needs than a robots and doesn't work in the same way.And don't take any those ideas as absolute. Especially if they're said by influencers who are know as experts in everything.

@yura Yes.Basically both of these ideas are good in nature but mangled into absurdity for hype.It is important to recognize if you are wasting money and lose control over it. Yet people need little rewards, hobbies, social live. Sometimes even giving something away is what you need.Same goes for self-improvement. It is not a chore or duty.There's also the third idea of the similar kind: health, dropping bad habits and such. Same principle - it is good for you, it can be fun, it has long term rewards but take it as some imposed absolute and you'll burn out.It is okay to be imperfect, it is less okay to try to be less human.

@yura It's worth it to use bootleg and other cheaper sources of stuff (filesharing instead of buying), but R&R is absolutely necessary in any case.As for importance... reality is absurd and nothing is important unless one subjectively considers it to be.Improving oneself to what purpose? For entertainment? Sure. To further one's goals? Alright. As a hobby? Okay. But in itself absent subjective motivation? Pointless, like everything else.

@Meko #nowar извини, писать на инглише мне лень. :)Про "эффективных блоггеров" главное помнить, что их задача — заработок на подписчиках. И воспринимать всё, что они вещают, через призму этого. Отсюда все их "вы должны"... Никто никому ничего не должен, особо блоххерам, которые учат жить. Помнишь известное стихотворение Левитанского?Каждый выбирает для себяженщину, религию, дорогу.Дьяволу служить или пророку —каждый выбирает для себя.Каждый выбирает по себеслово для любви и для молитвы.Шпагу для дуэли, меч для битвыкаждый выбирает по себе.Каждый выбирает по себе.Щит и латы. Посох и заплаты.Мера окончательной расплаты.Каждый выбирает по себе.Каждый выбирает для себя.Выбираю тоже — как умею.Ни к кому претензий не имею.Каждый выбирает для себя.Я руководствуюсь им. И делаю то, что правильно в моих глазах.

@yura in this world spending your money and time unwisely ultimately is an act of rebellion and thus prove of still being human. It’s the refusal to be subject to competition in a world that only knows winners and losers divided by the rules of „the market“. To deny these mechanics to infiltrate every single second of our life is what constitutes actual freedom.

@yura on the other hand, upholding your duties to always be on the watch, always be on your toe tips, to stay ahead of „the game“, to always perform is nothing but a justification for the unfairness of a system, that can not but produce a hand full of winners in a sea of losers, that never really had a chance. You’re being made to believe it’s your fault so you don’t question the rules of a world that’s ultimately rigged against you from the very beginning.
