Does anyone by chance know any decent paying art industry-like jobs I could try reaching out for? I'm looking at anything from Storyboard Revisionist to Color Stylist to BG Paint to something like even working in Toy Design, but I have no connections or leads for any of this.

@afairmaiden maybe not the place to ask for those jobs.if you have a consistent and presentable portfolio try applying on sites like Artstation or Upwork. a little hard but not impossible.

@afairmaiden I wouldn't have expected, not even in 10 years, to see someone asking for a job here. This is... surprising. This place is a hardcore fetish porn platform! I'm honestly impressed to see something like that — very brave and humble of you. :kannaBlob:

@afairmaiden If it’s reasonable to you you should try considering art adjacent jobs like graphic design, logos, website design, UI, etc. I know in some cases a good portfolio may outweigh the need for a specialized degree.

@DVDchan What sort of work? I know different kinds of art jobs need different portfolios .

@afairmaiden From what I know most places you need a recommendation to get in. But if you are going "Fuck connections" is mostly using Instagram and use certain hastags to appear on industry people timelines, they really check your text post so be careful with vents. From people on the industry they have told me that around 70-80% of your physical portfolio should be sketches and the rest finished illustrations as it shows how good and sometimes fast on your work.
