@stux It started with games having poor representation that made a laughing stock of minorities and the developers.Now people get mad there's a same sex romance option, despite the fact these are the same people that would get excited for female on female action in Mass Effect back in the day.A lot of creatively bankrupt games release from AAA studios (read: out of touch corporations) and these people will blame it on DEI, which has nothing to do with the lack of imagination at these studios

@stux I recently heard an outspoken critic (comparative) compliment an actress who had previously gotten loads and loads of crap in a movie that was received very badly. (And also pointing out that it surprised him, despite his previous harsh criticism in other areas concerning her.)Not all critics are unreasonable even considering "favorable circumstances", even if it might seem like it.

@stux I get that some people are genuinely against "woke", but dont let game companies use their wokeness as a shield against criticism. Like from my understanding Dragon Age Veilguard did stuff like heavily restricting who got early access to ensure positive reviews, and made a game very different from earlier installments. Anyone who critiqued this change was called a bigot. Only after a while did more honest reviews come out.

@stux If there would be a woke game (for win11) that trains me to battle haters and win, I would play it. I would encouring likeminded folks around me to play it. It must be such that haters and bigots do not want to play it, for there are treehuggers and lgbtqia+-people in the game.

@stux I don't buy video games anymore unless they're complaining that the games are "woke". I take it to mean that the designers are skilled and decent people.
