Genuinely amazing just how much infrastructure and resources he's put in to keep his website online -- at great personal expense. You could come up with a protocol to do proof of work with a challenge/response sort of thing but then you'd be reliant on other software to implement so you might get pleroma forks and mitra, so federation wouldn't work.As far as the rest of that stack, I don't see that there would be a problem, compute is compute and bandwidth is bandwitdh. Other than the sheer chattiness of AP and how prone it is to ddos instances just by accident when posts spread far enough.

Yup. 5th screenshot is one of the farms' many hosts emailing him to say "we found csam on your site so we're nuking it." DSP is bad at games, sure. But he didn't had a huge spaz out for years. There are moments that he goes on an unhinged rant, bitches a lot or tells people to shut up. But not to the level of old DSP where he would say "Fuck Kojima" constantly while playing Metal Gear or throw his controller.What i miss the most from old DSP were some of his jokes. I would have never expected that there would be many leftoids orbiting the vtuber sphere. Specially with how much they screech about "muh animu is right wing" and all of that. But you're right on everything else: historically, leftoids were the edgy icoloclasts that liked humor and things that were in while rightoids were the boring people that wanted your whole life dedicated to work and family. Even today a lot of would be rightoid personalities say every now and then "watching paint dry is the only fun you should need in your life", which irks me and a lot of other people out there. But it's not like leftoids are any better. Still, in right wing circles that mentality has caused a big fracture as of late that has led to many more discussions.I would say i fit on that first description.
