       Too many people think you can lose elections and still continue to do things. Only winners get to do things so if you want things like student loan forgiveness and a stable economy and a decent environment and vaccines instead of rampant corruption and secret police snatching people off the streets and completely unhinged people setting policy then you have to win.A sense of superiority on social media isn’t winning.

       @TonyStark I have explained this to people for decades. Americans are stupid. You don't get a majority (power) to accomplish things when people don't show up and vote. This entitled bratty bs about "earning votes" or "sparking joy" shows just how selfish, hollow, and stupid people can be about really serious stuff. It's incredible.

       @TonyStark @arbres Did any of them notice the pro-life movement? It took them 50 years to get Roe v Wade overturned. They showed up and voted R in Every. Single. Election.If the GOP wasn’t pushing far enough to the right, they still voted for them, and tried to push things farther on their issue in the primaries. They called and pressured the MAJORITY party members of Congress that they helped put into power to get what they wanted.Imagine a world in which the progressives and liberals used the same strategy. We could have universal healthcare… today.

       @mls14 @arbres 50 straight years of voting for killing Roe. 50.When we pragmatists suggest things like "let's expand Medicaid so it covers more low income people", we get screamed at by lefties and called neoliberal coporate shills.
