       The funeral today was very uh, traditionalIt was held in a church and much revolved around "god"For me as an atheist this was a little rough, but i kept my mouth shut and showed respectAt least I know what i don't want for myself :blobblush:

       @stux For both my parents we had a celebration of life or a humanist funeral and just recently I attended the last of a special group of their freinds.. again another humanist celebration of their life, then food, wine and chat with those we only see at these events..More 4 funerals and no weddings than "4 weddings and a funeral" at our age..🤣

       @stux I was always found the wakes more therapeutic than the religious stuff. Sharing stories about the deceased is more meaningful than a script read by a stranger. I can't imagine that being different for even the most devout, but I'm also not religious so I guess I don't really know.
