I would like share and shed a spotlight to the music of the Old-School Death Metal scene of Slovakia. A scene that remains largely obscure to this day. While the old-school death metal of Slovakia didn’t have a coherent, overarching general style of more well known scenes such as Sweden and the like, Slovakian bands tended possess an inherent sense of melody that was characteristic of the region. Many bands would also take cues from multiple aspects of death metal (Brutal, Progressive, Technical, Melodic etc.) instead of focusing solely on one specific niche, resulting in a rather unique and strange scene with a verity of bands that were not so easily pigeonholed. The chart below is a list of some of my favorites from the old-school scene of the 90s (except one album from 2000), with 1 release from each band.I hope this will be of help to anyone interested in underground metal, and I hope that you can find enjoyment in these albums if you ever decide to check them out.TL;DR : Death Metal from Slovakia in the 90s. Check it out if your interested!

I forgot to give credits to this article on Invisible Oranges when I was initially typing this up. Goes into more description about bands than on here, plus I "borrowed" (more like stole) some inspiration for the initial descriptor on the OP, so it didn't feel right not to at least give credit to it here.https://www.invisibleoranges.com/early-slovakian-death-metal/
