       Kerala, India's southern state led by the communist government, is on track to become the first state in the country to eradicate extreme poverty by November 2025.        @yogthos I admire the sentiment, but if you have been there (I have) it is difficult to quantify what extreme poverty is? Is it someone sitting in an igloo made of cow pats with a packet of 10 cigarettes selling them one at a time by the roadside? Maybe that 60% + of the population have no fresh water or flush toilets? However you cut it, 2025 seems optimistic whatever you politics.

       @Pittthewelder The focus always has to be on the direction of travel.  They're starting from extreme poverty, but what matters here is that the policies of the communist government are improving the situation, and doing it more effectively than capitalist ones.

       @yogthos I accept your point of view, however, you are not proving the case that communism is better than capitalism even if it is better than the caste system of Hinduism.

       @yogthos sorry, I do not want to be rude but your evidence and statements do not support the claims you make, it is better that we do not talk anymore. I hold an economics degree and 45 years of business experience all over the world, communism is not the most effective way to lift people out of poverty, it is the most effective way, when coupled wiîh religion, to keep people in poverty.        @Pittthewelder the fact that you have a degree in economics and are completely unaware of all the studies that have been done on the subject that show the opposite of your claims shows that a complete imbecile can get an economic degree in the western education system.
