       Question for everyone in EU: Is there a current #Android phone that allows high-quality call recording in the EU, without having to root it or hack something?Before you tell me I want to do illegal things - It's perfectly legal to record calls in my country under some conditions: https://www.kurzy.cz/zakony/89-2012-obcansky-zakonik/paragraf-88/

       @fuxoft @michal I have a podcast recording console that can connect to a phone via Bluetooth to record. It’s probably not practical for your use case, but maybe someone sells a simple, cheap Bluetooth phone recorder?

       @RubenWA Oh, sorry, I meant "Android that can use Google Pay and Google Auto", my mistake...

       @fuxoft Any Android can use Google Pay, but why handover your financial data to Google?

       @fuxoft Possible but that is not what I ment.I use a de-Googled phone because I don't like to give away dat to Google. Why go through the de-Googling proces only to end up using Google Pay? That's not logic.Don't buy a de-Googled phone when you want to use Google-Pay.

       @RubenWA I never said I want to buy a de-Googled phone, that's the misunderstanding.

       @fuxoft @zoul @michal Oooops, yes, this one is still for sale: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005007420165325.htmlI had tons of issues with other recorders, but this one (G6) is pretty solid and quick to use. The only downside is that you can’t connect it as a USB drive from Linux - you have to use Winbloze 🙄

       @gThat's pretty significant problem. I haven't used Windows in 15 years. How do you even do this? It has some special filesystem drivers?@zoul @michal

       @fuxoft @zoul @michal It's a flaw in the Linux drivers related to USB timing. Winbloze handles it fine, but Linux just truncates the size of the USB flash drive to 0 bytes. So I simply connect this device to M$ Winbloze box - the license now costs about 3 EUR, which is a huge difference compared to the good old days when it used to be 100 EUR.

       @fuxoft @zoul @michal It's the price of balancing sound quality with usability (you don’t need to transfer files often, since the storage is huge for voice recordings). If you find a device with solid sound quality and good Linux compatibility, please let me know 😉
