       @SoftwareTheron @Aphrodite Happily, the 1955 Geneva Conference and a great deal of subsequent scientific and engineering work have left us with credible, implementable alternatives for both energy and non-energy applications, which will require a certain degree of industrial realignment, but are ultimately adequate for a world of 10 billion or even greater population (which is the most likely peak, before a retreat late in this century, with consequences unclear).https://blast.man-and-atom.info/index.html
