Contrarian opinion: Brunch should be embraced as fundamentally leftist because eggs and pancakes are foods which can be easily prepared in mass quantities. Communist Brunch is logistically attainable. If longhouses returned to the northeast in the modern era they would serve brunch

@nickzoic you know the phrase "Canadian bacon". Okay well I moved to Canada and they've actually got a special type of bacon here you can't get in the states. It's incredible. The "Canadian bacon" on American pizza is a pale imitation

@bob_zim @nickzoic it's back bacon. Well, Ontario specifically has a really great variant called "peameal bacon"; I'm not 100% sure how it's different since I've never ordered this outside Ontario.
