@neanderthalsnavel when i worked for Apple you could rebuild an iphone from our parts cost for $300. Thats replacing everything. That was for an iphone 12 max pro. Macbooks same thing. They sell one they get 3 for free.

@evillarry their model will have to change. but so what? The people buying iphones are price insensitive. Raise the price $300/device and they are back. Repair/rebuilds will cost more.

@neanderthalsnavel you should work there and see them when new “phones” come out. They dont care about price. They can be financed and traded back in and just keep paying payment. Its like watching someone who needs a drug fix.

@evillarry I think about this too with all the new cars I see on the road. People are underwater on leases, because of extra mileage, and just roll everything over. Making bigger payments each time.
