       It's not that USAers are loud, necessarily, but they are trained very intensely to not read the room, and lack empathy for others in general.

       @cy@fedicy.us.to It's definitely both.I can spot an American from afar just by the way they move, but Americans are definitely louder than most other nationalities too.

       Yeah I said necessarily because there are a lot of regional and class cultural differences. Go to a bar in Portland/Seattle, they have to have music playing or you could hear a pin drop. That... doesn't apply in Oklahoma. The antisocial "mind your own business" "I got mine" "personal responsibility" "friendship is gang activity" "caring is for pussies" stuff is nationally enforced though.
