@futurebird now if the title had said the "*African* Great Lakes", I could totally believe trade goods would have travelled from the African Great Lakes to Ancient Egypt, but I'd expect the ancient egyptians had much closer sources of copper. After all, the White Nile connects to Lakes Kyoga, Victoria, and Albert. Sadly, that's probably not what the video is about.

@teledyn @gleick I think this one upset me because I hate it when people mess with Ancient Egyptian history. I love that stuff. It's so interesting and needs no embellishment. It's fun the way it is.
