@sapphire who knows what will be remembered in museums? stuff from Jeff Koonz, Ari Skrubs's white paintings or the trash you see in a modern gallery? Or things that are seen as underground, niche or fanart made with actual interest and skills? I'd totally pay to see an expo of Tamers over some postnarrative bullshit made by complete hacks who never held a pencil.

@darkdoomer I’m just saying people with that talent and real patrons could be making generational art, and I guess he is but it’s sad that our generational art is fart jokes and gay clowns and not megaprojects or cathedrals

@sapphire ah seen like that yes, but it's not all to create masterpieces, making funny things makes him and other happy, we also need this kind of stuff. and it's better than nothing, it's really a little but we cherish it as long as we can, fearing to see it replaced or censored by some highly moralistic authority in our lifetime. that's nightmaresque.

@sapphire @darkdoomer You might change your tune when you're wasting away from building the king's megacathedral. But I also don't much like the fart fetish. Perhaps better to ask for epic adventures and happy families in our art.I do believe the artist in question is better at convincing people they're good, than actually being any good.

@skybrook @darkdoomer I think he’s a fantastic artist considering the tools he’s using. There is artistic value in making decent art with dogshit materials, just like there is making amazing art with amazing materials. Marble is beautiful but if you can make mud look good you’re probably a pretty good talent too.
