The recent meltdown over the Switch 2 prices is pathetic.Rising game and console prices are a problem, but they’re far from the greatest threat gaming is facing at the moment.The infiltration of SJW lefties into game development studios, as well as Communist China’s slow takeover of the industry, are far bigger problems to worry about. Sony’s desire to maintain a monopoly on 3rd party support is a far bigger concern as well.Let’s face reality here: tech has NOT become magically cheaper in the last five years. Especially thanks to Bidenflation.If you want to complain about game prices, then that’s one thing.Nintendo usually doesn’t overprice consoles because they know their core market are families. Families are not going to drop the same amount of money Sony fanboys are for a PS5 Pro. I bet you the $450 cost of the Switch 2 is from the rising costs for the components, especially considering for its specs its still very competitively priced compared to the competition.This thing is expected to be more powerful than the Steam Deck as it’s got Cyberpunk 2077 on a single game card without issue (without requiring extra downloads). I bet this will be a better value for your money than the PS5.Switch 2 is going to sell well. It's just a matter of prices in the West leveling out, and game prices leveling out.The only people who are already claiming it won't sell well are the gaming press - who have never liked Nintendo whatsoever and want them out of the industry, and hardcore Sony fanboys who want it to fail because they too want Nintendo out of the industry.If you want to save gaming, save it from social justice lefties, the CCP, and Sony’s monopoly.
