@thygrrrGuy wanted 700 CZK (about 30 freedom eagles), ended up talking him down to 400 CZK (about 17 eagles), so not that bad really. All you need to remove this pillow is a screwdriver, so no glue worries either.

@ozzelot@mstdn.social @thygrrr@tiggi.esI think you can still find replacement batteries for these laptops. Even the earliest Airs — like the one that Jobs was putting into an envelope at WWDC are still good for a lot of things. So you get a nice machine for literal pennies!

@m0xEE @thygrrr We got 4GB here though. Wooo! Could be worse. (Though HS is a bit slow on this poor nugget. I’m sure the tired old 60GB SSD is not much help either. Well, there are adapters to normal M.2 SATA.)

@m0xEE @thygrrr And much like the first gen Air that dosdude1 upgraded, this simulates two 2GB DIMMs, so if I wanted to get 8GB in here, I’d have to reappropriate chips off two 4GB DIMMs.
