@PizzaDemon Well you know me. I've watched it a few times. Did you know my neighborhood is in the section with the Bronx? It used to be REALLY bad here. (It's so totally different now.)So bits of it have an extra fascination for me.

@cthulku @phooky @geekdad Lovely recording. I like the location they choose... but I don't like the camera motion. Feel like static cuts would have worked better. Or.... just much much much slower. Not that anyone asked me.

@cthulku @phooky @geekdad There is something self-conscious about camera motion in a context like this. And I don't think it's good to run away from the way that this kind of music asks for meditation, the way it takes up time to make its impact. It comes off as trying to "make it exciting" and annoys me more than I think it ought to. (It's not supposed to be "exciting" it's supposed to give you the space to notice time passing, to just... notice the world for once.)

@futurebird Didn't that neon tunnel in O’Hare originally have ambient Phillip Glass music playing in it? I think now it’s Gershwin, but it used to be abstract, tinkly, glass-like and very relaxing.
