They also borrow against that stock price and the borrowed money is not subject to taxation at least in the US.Nobody should be able to own that much stock in the companies should never be that large. When we reclaim local economic sovereignty, and kick out large corporations, we gain independence from them. We are also facing a triple threat of poly crisis, climate, politics and economic crises. When our communities are car free, the local ecology restored, and our urban area is integrated into it, we eliminate 90% of all the resources used by the modern economy. It’s a security measure.
