The parallels between the end of the Roman empire and our current situation are so numerous that it's not realistic to think we're going any other way. I don't mean Caesarism or any other silly hopes people cling to. That age passed with Hitler. I mean inflation, borders dissolving, handing out citizenship, losing SOI expansion wars, then border skirmishes, then to attacks. Fag shit, women, birth rates. Infrastructure and upkeep. This list goes on forever. Every gay new little hot take anyone could have about our civ is countered by "they had the exact thing in Rome."Despite all of this, people cling to instead saying the parallel is Weimar or that we will have a civil war, our side will win, and then we can restore our world order. Guess who also said that. Yeah.Did they do it? They sure tried, yet they were still wiped off the map. There's no escaping this. There were even people like me telling Romans they couldn't escape the fate of Troy.Where am I going with this? It's very simple. Don't headcanon about fixing this civilization. Don't think about fixing it. Don't let anyone tell you that you'd want to. Don't help those who try. As hard as it may be, because the West is more than just McDonalds and Football, you need to leave it behind. Let it die.The last remnants of a people once glorious, those few who still believed in the idea of mighty Rome and fought bitterly to bring her back, they all found their bloody end on the battlefield while plundering parasites scrounged the last valuables and skittered away in the dark. Some notes:The parallel between Trump wanting peace in Ukraine and the late Roman military is left as an exercise for the reader. Just this much: People should atop taking it at face value, i.e. time horizon of two presidential terms, "Trump wants to give back to the people!".The empire is cutting costs. Europe, the provinces, are asked to foot the bill. Why?If you understand what's coming and are deliberate, you are in a unique position. @WandererUber there's a saying that goes "no man can carry the entire weight of the world" and while i do belive this to be true i think it's rather because more often than not the people you're trying to save might end up gouging your eyes out in their panick or stabbing you in the back for a few crumbsi think this describes the current paradigm in regards to "the culture war" or any other similar shit.you have people that due to vaccums in power(caused by the ineptitude of those in higher positions) have been pushed into positions they are not apt for, either because they are not principled enough or because they are to easy to corrupt by the tantalizing honey that is power.now of course there might be a few trying to sincerely make things better but this type is often sadly naive or too idealistic to notice the many dangers that come with power and how voracious the world has become, in their quest for doing the right thing they end up shutting down part of their more animalistic tendencies and eventually meet/will meet all sorts of tragic ends, funnily enough the previous group still has those animalistic tendencies which is why they manage to stay afloat longer even if it's through deception and betrayal.there's little thing we can do to change the course of things on a macro level, best we can do is help those that are within our inmediate reach that also desserve our help and of course prepare for the worst possible scenarios be it with food, shelter or means to defend ourselves

In reality: You would not "take rights away" from the women, you would stop the state from financing their nonsense with your resources. I can't even formulate how it really is as succinctly as "take rights away" because all our language and phrases in political discourse are distillates from centuries of liberalism. Reusing any liberal priors is going to a stick fight with a pool noodle. I think many do not understand how necessary it is to question because they are still politically engaging with our enemies as if they hadn't deliberately poisoned us and made all of our political tools ineffective.

This narrative is a constant since the French Revolution, and it has NEVER been true. Not even IN the French Revolution was it ever a bunch of normal people rising up. He was at the pinnacle of the state, with a host of loyal soldiers and benefactors. He had some of the most impressive reconquests of Roman history. Most importantly he made massive changes to the Roman legal system and bureaucracy, cleaning out massive amounts of corruption. In the end he still ended up back stabbed, unable to complete his campaigns and eventually assassinated. At a certain point there is only so much that can possibly be done. Better to take what you can and let the whole rotten structure come crashing down.

@WandererUber From discussion here and other places it seems reasonable this will be where new great civilizations will arise. It can, and probably will, also happen here on Earth, but there is limitless potential in space. And with AI designed tech it could be within our reach in a couple of decades. Or centuries. Whatever it will take, but we are going there.And it act as a Great Filter on the kind of people who will be successful in doing so. Surviving and eventually thriving there. It won't be low IQ parasites. Or the higher IQ ones. Not for a while. It will be a long time before they would be able to find a foot hold. But there is a new Golden Age that will come someday. I won't see it. Perhaps my great great grandchildren will. And I expect them to be utterly ruthless towards 90% of humans still living on the planet.
