       Plex Pass is going up in price — and now you’ll need it for remote playback https://www.theverge.com/news/632631/plex-subscription-price-increase-remote-playback

       @verge @jsit My unsolicited advice is, use #Jellyfin. ☺️

       @sandwich I’ve looked into it but it doesn’t seem as polished. Plex does just what I need and does it well. They’ve started putting some of their own content into the UI, but I haven’t found it to be too invasive yet. I’m happy to pay for something that just works.

       @jsit That’s totally understandable. I actually liked it as well, I just got in one of those moods where I wanted to try to set up my own little Jellyfin server, and it works, so I’m on that bandwagon 😅

       @sandwich @jsit I ran both Plex and Jellyfin in parallel for years..until now.I was going to cancel Plex anyway when it came due in a few months. This just seals the deal.True that Jellyfin isn't _quite_ as polished, but it's WAY more than good enough for me. It's all I've been using lately anyway.Thanks to Plex for giving me that final push over the edge!
