@futurebird I like a lot about the ariya's design, I'm glad they added a heat pump and fixed the battery problems, but they shouldn't've made an SUV. they should stop making SUVs

@futurebird I once was close to such an accident. It was some old guy who had automatic transmission and confused gas and brake. Or forward and backward, in any case he thought that "more of the same" was the right solution. His Merc jumped up a fence.

@futurebird if someone would’ve been standing there, about to cross to the other side of the street, that bollard wouldn’t had done much. It seems to be designed as a ramp for the car.Horrible. I’m glad no one was there.

@futurebird Having once hung up a military 4WD vehicle on a tree stump, I can confirm that this is, in fact, exactly what happens when a moving car hits an object like this which is solid enough to resist the impact - thanks to the conical shape the force is directed upwards & runs out of stump before the car runs out of forward momentum, eh presto... 😬
