I don't know much about war tactics but what I've seen from the war in Ukraine, I really think drones are a game changerIt's quite literally a flying bomb with a camera you can control from a distance that's super preciseI've seen I don't know how many tanks blown up by a FP drone with a somewhat massive explosive under itAnd these kind of drones are reasonably new on the battle field I believe, unlike the Hawks, Predators, Eagles, Reapers etc 🤔

@stux actually, Ukraine/Russia was not the first war where drones made huge difference. Azerbaijan's usage of drones during Second Karabakh war was the first prelude towards new type of warfare

@stux Everyone is learning from the Ukrainians right now, and they are willing to experiment and try all kinds of wild, super low cost things. They are also using very effective sea drones and rebuilding their long range missiles capacity. What Vlad Putin forgot is that Ukraine was once one of the most advanced Soviet Republic in terms of aerospace...

@stux They're running collapsible cardboard drones that can be carried discretely and assembled quickly. Takes asymmetric warfare up a couple of notches.

@stux yes. Azerbaijan has been using same Bayraktars drones supplied to Ukraine (since Azerbaijan and Turkiye are "brotherly nations", so to speak), and for decades they also had military cooperation with Israel - whose arms, incl. drones, have been helpful too of course Azeris didn't have as much supply and production of drones as Ukraine did, but nonetheless drones were incredibly helpful to establish air dominance - esp. with Armenia having only russia-made weapons & rockets
