First of all, this VCR didn't come with a remote (I'll probably grab a compatible one off eBay in the future) so I had to futz around with the on-device buttons to figure out what combo of button presses would get me to the setup menu. I had to fight against the auto set feature really hard; it REALLY wanted to show off how it could do it, but it hasn't got an antenna connection or cable box to get info from!#KvltVHS

One must wonder what this VCR feels like to wake up after who knows how long and have its internal clock set to 25 years after its very first power-on state. I wonder if it feels the same way I do about how cool it is to be experiencing this connection between now and way back when.#KvltVHS

Anyway, on this model you enter the menu by pressing the "Action Key" (as the menu calls it), which is pressing both Channel Up and Channel Down at the same time. Just in case you needed to know!#KvltVHS

I just heard the train driver tell the guy filming that he has to bring his own Windex to clean the windshields with, it's not provided by the MBTA. I'm starting a campaign to retroactively get free Windex for the train drivers of the MBTA in 1989.#KvltVHS
