The steam client automatically logging you out if you don't use it for a while is the gayest thing ever:mito_weary:. Every few months I feel like playing a game that I've bought on there but it won't let me access it until I log in again:mito_ugh: and I just go do something else or emulate the switch version:mito_tired:. If steam won by being the “most convenient” and “most customer‐friendly” option I don't even want to imagine how jewish the other options were. I regret having ever bought anything there because it's such a hassle to use. Thank you for reading my blog post.

I know that paying for media is kind of a meme around here:mito_laugh:, but I think that there is nothing wrong with it as long as it doesn't have kikery such as (((drm))). Sadly, though, games typically do have (((drm))):mito_ugh:. In fact, I hear that when publishing on (((steam))), you have to opt out of (((steam drm))). Steamniggers just say that “ackshually chuddie it's trivial to crack so it's okay” and gladly get raped though. And of course I've bought games with (((drm))) against my better judgement:mito_tired:, but I've already learned my lesson and I will never make that mistake again. (The most egregious example is project denuvo which on top of the inconvenience of steam, (((dejewvo))) made it stop working on my main pee cee for no reason:mito_sad:, so I cannot play it even if I were willing to put up with (((steam)))'s faggotry. Everyone who contributed to the development or the adoption of dejewvo gets the oven. )

@deadheatCute wife.I really should do it. It's not like I ever play the games and those giggers would be much better spent on artworks of my wife.

@mikuphile as far as steam goes, I'm pretty sure you have to actually program in the api. I didn't have to do anything DRM related when I uploaded my build and you can 100% just run the executable.

@mikuphile Goldberg emulator and/or Steamless. If you're using proton or wine you gotta use the windows versions of these cracks. Doesn't make drm okay but if you already have the games downloaded it's just a case of overwriting steam DLLs in the game files and done. I use it because the steam client has become a massive resource hog ever since they switched to chromium, and serves no purpose for singleplayer games.

@mikuphile Also, in a lot of cases the game doesn't have DRM but the *actual* game executable is buried in the game files. Always try to launch the game directly and don't use the steam hyperlink. If the game fails to run, use GBE/Steamless.
