FunkWhale is run by some psychopathic ideological extremists who cannot agnostically develop software. I neither trust nor want to support software that puts the sociopolitical agendas of the maintainers above the purpose and function of the project---especially when this is machinated via nonconsensual molestation of user data.That being said, I'm interested in software that facilitates audio streaming and embedding. A program where I can upload some songs or mixes and allow them to be streamed by others and embedded onto a web-page for listening.

@genmaicha The new maintainers are hard-coding some filter/blocklist system into the program that will query some database to identify "right wing" music and obstruct the ability for that media to be uploaded or shared. You, the user and/or deployer of the software, will have no means by which to disable this nor bypass it (unless, I suppose, you hard fork the project and start maintaining a modified version of the software yourself with this trash manually scooped out).It would be equivalent to Mastodon, for example, hard-coding in blocklists and word filters into the program regardless of the will or desires or those running Mastodon or the users therein.
