       Like a good "Metroidvania", I've been looking for good "locks & keys" to guide the player though the worldSo far I have- "Doors" that require magic missiles that can be found (1 and 3 missiles)- "Doors" that require a literal key to be found or from monster drop- "Doors" that are higher up and require a double-jump that can be found- "Doors" that require an X amount of souls (souls are dropped by monsters, the "soul" of the NPC)And with "doors" I mean an obstacle, block or door 😉

       Enemies, NPCs, skills and all other things are also done- 36 passive enemies- 32 aggressive enemies (AI NPCs)- 9 traps- 12 unique power ups - 40 NPCs (friendly)- 4 Bosses- Melee and ranged combat- Leveling for more attack power and HPA lot of stuff to do in this game

       @stux You could try a door that closes when you get close, after a short delay, requiring you to move quickly and commit. This would pair well with an obstacle or enemy that normally requires patience and deliberation, with the door mechanic mixing up the typical approach.
