Mad you still can't get into the #backrooms? OK here is an easy tip. There is an entrance to the backrooms in the basement of *every* community college. The deepest basement, in the most boring hallway. Go there at 11:30pm five days into winter break. Listen to the sounds of the building, the old boiler, the sounds of the elevators. Look at the plain painted walls. Then? Just step through. It's THAT simple.

@futurebird Don't see what the "trapped in the backrooms" nonsense is. You navigate it like like l-space. The turns just aren't labeled and the rows are longer.

@AMS Not everyone can figure out how to turn 90 degrees to all three basic spacial dimensions. It's not easy and they don't teach it in geometry class.

@futurebird Yep, that's the way.(... Carnegie Mellon has a steam tunnel network. There are a couple of easy access points to it and a few less-easy access points. My favorite is where they bricked up what used to be a direct passage in there and threw up a utility door.... they didn't want to spend the money / time/ whatever on mating the bricks to the existing utility piping, so it was just high enough to be essentially a fancy indoor "discouragement fence." There was a good three feet of clearance at the top and with a little boost, you could easily hop over, drop down the other side, and pop the door from that side because it was emergency-evac standard.... I'm told. Not that I would know personally)

@futurebird I know that place! It's where they keep the minicomputer, the line printer and the burster/decollator so they don't annoy the faculty
