I feel like considering how there was a surprising focus on my situation in @notst0's video, I should at the very least make a public post confirming that I have at least had the """"NSFW"""" tag removed from my account... A full year after it was applied and I decided to move on, and a good month after helping a friend start their own direct competitor.(Shameless plug: https://abyss.cafe/@saltyfishboi)I would like to say something, though: I kept calling it a shadow ban instead of a NSFW tag, and there's a reason for that. I feel it's the manipulation of the conversation. My account being hit with the NSFW tag functions as a shadow ban, but it implies I was guilty of some kind of open degeneracy when the topic comes up. Without all the details, it puts this idea in the minds of even people that would be willing to defend it that I was habitually pushing some kind of pornography in public spaces where it wasn't welcome.In reality the closest I ever got to that on my account was "public beach appropriate" pinup, legitimate artistic anatomy practice of my own (which I would usually tag anyway), and the odd cock ring shitpost in response to obvious spam in my replies.And now I'm hearing that this was applied to more accounts than just mine for reasons unrelated to porn, frankly making it feel like a completely intentional malicious act by Minds staff. Obviously it would be foolish to simply assume that it was, I'm just explaining how it could very well seem to a reasonable person.Honestly don't know if I'll ever feel like coming back to this site after being blackpilled so damn hard, but I at least wanted to address all this publicly.
