Imagine for a second the end of the 5 eyes.Let's face it: if Canada is kicked out, it is also highly possible the UK, AUS and NZ would follow shortly.If those 4 would then ally themselves with FR and DE, the result would be a seismic shift in the ELINT intelligence world.That would not mean anything good for the average guy, mind you, but it would be a real change.I still think Australia will NEVER see any of those subs they joined AUKUSA for though.

@ParadeGrotesque I've never figured out how the subs were supposed to be fueled. France could have supplied subs with reactors using fuel of 20% enrichment, but all available information is that US and UK reactors (derived from the same prototype, as opposed to the semi-independently developed French type) still require 90%+ enriched fuel. And there's no source for that anymore.

Think about it for a second though: a '6 eyes' aliance would probably mean an alliance of equals, rather than be a junior 'partner' in an unequal relationship with an increasignly bullying US.Only the UK is more or less respected by NSA, from what I understand.
