@stux I honestly think Americans don’t feel much of anything. The rest of the world needs to stand with Ukraine and accept nothing less than every millimeter of the 2014 border. Else it will be Gaza, Canada, Panama and everyone next. This started when Ginsberg died.

@stux Yesterday was a black page in the history books. I'm afraid of the direction the US is taking. we might end up with 3 totalitarian oligarchic superpowers with an unseen expasion drift and no one to stop them. If Ukraine falls, Georgia will fall, Taiwan will fall, Greenland will fall, then Palestine, then Panama, then the Baltic States, then Canada, then Finland, then Congo, then... I hope that within five years somone reminds me of this post to tell how wrong i was.

I feel ashamed by my fellow Americans that voted for this crap. This is a minority of America running roughshod over those of us who have and will support you and democracy everywhere. There will be a brief time of us having to put down our own invaders. JD Vance was correct it's the enemy within and it's MAGA. @stux I think that Ukraine is learning what all smaller countries learn: empires don't care about them. The US supported Ukraine when one party was in power and stopped when another party got into power.For the end of all empires, including Russia and the US.

@stux About 1/3 of America feels pretty good about that for reasons I'm super judgmental about. Another 1/3 is pissed and sad. And the rest say they're "not political" or want everyone to "just get along."Sadly, the first group is in charge of the entire government. All of it.

@stux I voted against Trump, but I was outnumbered by fellow Americans who voted for him, and there were still more on top of that who could have voted against him and didn’t. And I feel mortified by it. That Ukrainian soldier has every reason to judge Americans as a whole with absolute harshness. I share a similar sentiment.

@stux call me whatever you want but there's no way ukraine wins a war against russia. Even with all the tech given to them they haven't been able to succeed and in the long run they are just sending men to die. usa had their back but definitely not their front. Meanwhile loans are secured to pay for that tech with the assets of ukraine going to western elites. It's not easy to admit that it's a lost cause but the same happened in Vietnam and at some point you have to ask where is the end?
