#Bookstodon Let’s talk small press economics for a minute. Like many small presses, Amazon sales are a big chunk of our ebook sales, which is why the upcoming boycotts are a concern. But here’s the thing: we sell Kindle format (new by default, Mobi by request) books on our site. Buying direct means we get paid sooner! And you keep your books! https://queenofswordspress.com

@Alien_Sunset @Clundoff But are they sold in accessible electronic formats? If not, then those of us who can't read print must spend hours scanning a hard copy into our phones or computers just to be able to read the book. Fortunately, in my case, almost everything I read is in the public domain and is at the Internet Archive or Project Gutenberg. But for the few books that aren't, I do have to devote time to scanning them. Then, yes, I can keep them.
