       I've decided that part of my resistance efforts is resisting spending money. A lot of these companies bending the knee think they have us all locked in, that we're too addicted to convenience and instant gratification, that we can't quit them. Places like Amazon and Target think we need them more than they need us. They need to find out how wrong they are.

       The USA economy is so screwed up. It runs on credit card debt. It runs on impulse buys and retail therapy, it runs on unwise spending. But if a lot of us started living within our means, that would shake things up. During the beginning of COVID, rich people started freaking out because they noticed we were buying less and putting more money into savings accounts. It was only a few months into the shelter in place, so it wouldn't take long for them to feel it.
