One for @samsethi and @dave - the excellent @mijustin has added Bluesky podcast comment integration to Transistor. They pull the comments back from Bluesky to Transistor websites, too.One small step further, and they could also support the socialInteract tag. And another small step, and they can put the comments in an RSS feed, using the <comments> tag, for podcast apps to display easily, as per my suggestion here: https://github.com/Podcastindex-org/podcast-namespace/discussions/680(Thought for @js - is there a simple piece of code for "turn this Bluesky discussion thread into an RSS feed", or a service to do that? I wonder if I could build something to pull that from my auto-postings on Bluesky for the Podnews Daily? I bet I could.)

@james @samsethi @dave @mijustin re: "turn this Bluesky discussion thread into an RSS feed"interesting, something like this?(new service I whipped up just now that converts the bsky thread for Justin's post, or any bsky post, to a reverse chron rss feed)https://bskyrss.livewire.io/comments?url=https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:nr55rexy4s2we22j56d4n46b/post/3lhz7pia56b2c

@mijustin @james @samsethi @dave very cool, especially for 3p podcast appsapps can make a single http call to fetch the entire thread as json. for example, the thread for that episode in the screenshot: https://public.api.bsky.app/xrpc/app.bsky.feed.getPostThread?uri=at://did:plc:7nxol62kr4slo6zk6tnyfmbi/app.bsky.feed.post/3lhlbf4ethe2ino libs needed, the endpoint is even public (no auth)That stable post at-uri can also be used to create "reply/view" links, or even reply natively in the podcast app if the listener goes through an oauth login flow

@james @mijustin @samsethi @dave some good public docs about the official embed here: https://docs.bsky.app/docs/advanced-guides/oembedFor actions, right now the best link would probably be to the bsky front-end itself to visit/like/follow/replyfor a given post's at-uri: at://<did>/app.bsky.feed.post/<post_id>the front-end url is:https: / /bsky.app/profile/<did>/post/<postId>e.g. for the screenshot example at://did:plc:7nxol62kr4slo6zk6tnyfmbi/app.bsky.feed.post/3lhlbf4ethe2iurl is:https://bsky.app/profile/did:plc:7nxol62kr4slo6zk6tnyfmbi/post/3lhlbf4ethe2i

@js @mijustin @samsethi @dave "right now the best link would probably be to the bsky front-end itself to visit/like/follow/reply" - I was looking for a link to reply - that would open the Blue Sky app, with a reply window open to the thread. That would allow podcast apps to add a "reply" button to the app.

@js @mijustin @samsethi @dave ...and... https://docs.bsky.app/docs/advanced-guides/intent-links - that isn't yet implemented. But, we're now really close!Written up for Podnews today. And I wonder if I can also implement this. I bet I can.

@js @mijustin @samsethi @dave Implemented.https://podnews.net/update/spotify-podcast-monetisation#comments - thread JSON pushed through a proxy for privacy. It doesn't pull images through, which is probably just as well.

@james Would this JSON data also be usable to do the same with Mastodon?[1] https://bne.social/api/v1/statuses/113994711882221818/contextYou would have to take the status/toot ID from the SI tag [2] and get the JSON from the API instance [1].[2] https://bne.social/@james/113994711882221818PD: Some documentation [3]https://imrannazar.com/articles/mastodon-nested-threads@js @mijustin @samsethi @dave

@DavidMarzalC @js @mijustin @samsethi @dave Possibly, for Mastodon installs. But I like the idea. The problem with the fediverse is no simple way to hit "reply", since you have to ask for "your fediverse instance" every time - like the way we let you "follow" a podcast from Podnews's website.

@james Yeah the follow workflow is a hurdle, but for a Podcast App (or hosting), I wouldn't mind if the app ask me for oath authorization to post messages (like mastofeed @Barredo does [1]) and let me write a reply (or write a new comment for a hosting). With this approach you don't need to implement the full stack of Mastodon. As Transistor did with Bluesky, you could just use the API to read/write messages.BTW, to follow my own words (walk the talk), I did implement on my webpages shows what Castopod/PI web[ActivityPub], and now Transistor/Podnews [atproto], does showing the comments [2], for a quick test I used [3].[1] https://mastofeed.org/#privacy[2] https://kdeexpress.gitlab.io/posts/kdeexpress/27b-promo-ak-es/[2] https://accesibilidadtl.gitlab.io/posts/atl/012-atl/[3] https://github.com/dpecos/mastodon-comments@js @mijustin @samsethi @dave

@js @mijustin @samsethi @dave ...and also https://podnews.net/rss has the socialInteract tag in there, too.
