       And here is the queen. She is very shy but look how large she is compared to the workers.  It’s a pain to get a good photo of her without them hiding her away.

       @puf They clean them and move them around every hour or so. Always a big crowd of ants focused on doing this 24/7

       I have many children and we have obtained much food. Their gasters are full and it is time to lay eggs for summer. But still... sometimes in my dark nest it is not dark, it is bright as they day that I flew in the air and founded this nest! There are vibrations, like a great ant digging her cloisters. An ant the size of the whole tree! My daughters tell me of the "ceiling of the sky" I remember when I flew as a young princess the sky went on forever. How could there be a ceeling to the sky?
