At the end of march I will be homeless and I have no idea how to get a job that pays above minimum wage when my specialized skill is industry art which doesn’t have jobs anymore.Some ppl offered temp housing but I can’t move around long distances and handle those costs I really need somewhere semi stable. I’m likely going to have to leave the area so my job doesn’t matter here but I need to find smth that I can survive on and idk what i’m going to do.

I’m not asking for donations bc a little money here and there isn’t going to help me out of this hole. I’m just at a loss. I’m so defeated because once i’m living out of a car it’ll get even harder to get into a home. I have no credit cards either, my credit is destroyed, and I Can’t afford to file for bankruptcy either. So I genuinely don’t know what i’m going to do. I don’t have the time or stability to learn a new skill to get a higher paying job either.

@afairmaiden Look for a job that doesn't require much experience, like Janitorial work. Pays better than working with fast food and you don't have to deal with many people besides coworkers. Alternatively you could stock shelves at night at a mall or grocery store.

@MrMegaMaggot i have disabilities so can’t work full time or do any work that involves being on my feet longer than 30 min or heavy lifting.🫠 disability pay gives me less than my current job and that can’t even pay rent and food stamps only last me two weeks so i’m basically screwed unless I get a higher paying job that’s wfh.

@afairmaiden Well there are things you could do from home like writing, voice acting, or even Vtuber streaming, but it'd require some work getting off the ground. Most I got paid for was writing

@MrMegaMaggot trying but it wouldn’t pay enough upfront to secure housing (i only made a couple hundred w/ sub services which is still better than i think a lot get) and once i’m living out of my car that option goes out the window.

@Norithics mutual aid? there's really not many options. i'm gonna see about opening comms again but they rly don't pay me enough to survive considering how astronomically insane the cost of living is.

@croyven $2.5k to file which i don't just have laying around. it's ridiculous. and if i can't get my debt wiped i can't rebuild my credit score to get credit cards (which would be a lifesaver in emergencies) OR apply for housing.
