@stux I think you mean that only Ukraine decides whether to sign an agreement. Peace depends only on the aggressor. Ukraine's goal is an agreement that guarantees that Ukraine will exist and that Russia will not attack again (even if it means sacrificing something). It is not exactly Ukraine choosing peace. Ukraine chooses whether to resist disappearance or not

@stux Many of us in the USA are appalled at Trump's bootlicking of Putin. No peace negotiations are valid without Ukraine. And Ukraine wants European involvement, because they can no longer count on America having their back. I am ashamed of my country's government.

@stux Well, Ukraine in march 2022 was wanting to conclude a very favourable peace, until Boris Johnson arrived to urge them to fight on, that they would be supported without limit as long as needed, but that all support, on which Ukraine was dependend to survive finanancially and economically would stop, if they went on with the negotiations.

@stux I agree completely with the part that we have to support Ukraine no matter what and should unite in Europe to do much more to cover up for the Americans.I do not completely agree with that we are not invaded. Perhaps not like the Ukraine but when I read the news, cut electric and communication cables in the Baltic see, sabotage on German war ships, all what is happening in cyberspace, ... We are at least under attack and urgently need to fight back or I see our democracy endangered.

@stux If Trump is going to end a biblical era battle on the Gaza strip by buying it (not sure from who) and turning it into a world class resort that can employ all the war victims as low class slave labor, just think of how the Ukraine, under Trump, can also be purchased and turned into exclusive golf clubs.Just a passing thought, however, Ukraine needs the worlds help and should get it. This old school conquer and colonize doesn't work.

@stux Considering how well appeasing Russia after they invaded Crimea has gone, it's understandable #Ukraine is not keen to do that again.If they appease Russia, again, Russia will be back in two years for the rest of Ukraine.
