The way the fungus mound grows and cycles must be what's happening in their underground chambers all over the Americas. There are species of leaf-cutters that live as far north as CT. @futurebird I love them too. Now I need to know more about leaf cutter ants in CT. How do they deal with winter? Are they annual? Where are they? I can tell what our summer quest will be!
