       just received a pair of plastic knuckles from nometalknucks.com and they are surprisingly nice in the hands for being so cheaply made in america. of course they don’t compare to my knuckle dusters made of carbon fiber or solid aluminum but I am still rather impressed with them.

       I won’t deny that having something in the hands like brass knuckles can add a disgustingly force multiplier to your punch, but I think the commonly held belief that they cannot be used for non-lethal self defense is wrong. you don’t have to drive your fist with knuckle weapons at 100% of what you are capable of. the best way to use it non-lethally is to ”dust” them with light jabs to the body while using your other bare hand to go full force at the head. throwing hooks with knuckles is more like a tiger or lion swiping/slapping
