Hello @Gargron and @dansup !I was wondering if the fediverse crew/contributors started to think about ways that we can protect our communities and their content from being the prey of AI robot looking for fresh stuff to nurrish their model please?I guess it would be great to offer that possibility, especially for content creators whose work are plundered on meta and co networks.. That'd be a great differentiating aspect.

@imacrea @Gargron @dansup Could be relevant: this IETF working group https://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/aipref/about/ and their first document https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-vaughan-aipref-vocab/

@bortzmeyer @Gargron @dansup That's a great start, thanks for pointing to this paper Stéphane!Though, this seems only declarative and won't really be able to really protect from bad actors which wouldn't respect these meta-data. :/What kind of other means of action could we raise?

@imacrea @Gargron @dansup There is no technical solution to this problem. That's why the IETF, wisely, works on a hint-only system. You cannot have your cake and eat it: if you want to make things public, you cannot prevent people you don't like to read it.

@bortzmeyer @Gargron @dansup Hmm.. YouTube, LeBonCoin, Allocine and else have already in place walls to (try to) protect them from having their content scrapped, no?

@imacrea @Gargron @dansup Ask yourself what are the consequences of these DRM (digital handcuffs). For accessibility, for instance.

@bortzmeyer @Gargron @dansup Maybe you could share your point instead of turning it into some kind of ironic question. That'd be nicer and less judgmental. Thanks anyway.
