@mike Thanks Mike! This benefitted from visiting a number of apatosaur skeletons in US museums a few years back. Such awesome animals, I don't think print media does them justice.

@mike I've actually been meaning to email you about apatosaur cervical rib textures anyway! Also about the replica "Dippy" skull models the NHM is selling. Have you seen them? I got one and think it's pretty good - only £30.

@markwitton Oh, no, I'd not seen those! Nice. Although ... what actually IS that skull? If only there was a paper that definitively analysed the fossil, cast and sculpted material in the Carnegie Diplodocus.
