       OK. I'm doing further testing. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the default Mastodon app for iPhones. In addition, I've installed an app called "Ice Cubes", which looks to be a good app as well.So, I think I'm ready for another test. Would anyone who is willing, please message me within the next 5 minutes.  I want to see if I get notifications on my phone for Mastodon.Thank you in advance!!  🙂

       @m Cool!  I can confirm that Ice Cubes --the Mastodon client app for iphones, sent me an audible notification. The default Mastodon app did not--even after I uninstalled/reinstalled it and checked all of the notification settings. The only thing I didn't do yet, was to reboot my phone.Ice Cubes appears to be feature complete, so as long as that works, I think I'll be just fine.  😁
