It's much better to go on a slow speed chase around the coffee table five times before getting brushed, no matter how much you like it. It just helps everyone get in the right headspace... or something.

@futurebird I always remind myself that cats are very intelligent, yet seem to have very strong instincts. And are both prey and predator. Put all that together and I think you get the reasons for both their lightning reflexes and contradictory behavior.
