       Problem is how to begin it since i think the beginning will be very cringe no matter what i try.In one case it's the departure from the hometown of a jaded outcast that wants to live adventures and seek fortune and glory. I don't know how to start without it sounding childish or retarded

       It is okay to be cringe. Write the beginning and forwards from that. If you come up with a better beginning later, you can just rewrite it.Only way you can get good at something is to be bad at it first.
